Catalogs A catalog is a selection of items from the overall product list to be displayed in a registration form. A form may contain any number of catalogs, and the catalogs may be positioned at any step in the sequence of form pages. Use the catalog section to define any number of product catalogs for your event. For each catlalog: Set the name of the catalog to be displayed in Visit Create and in the form setup. This is not registrant-facing. When adding catalogs to forms, you can add your own header and summary text, in multiple translations if required Set the Filter Panel to None, Simple or Advanced Select the Default View as List or Grid. Note that regardless of this setting, a registrant can change between the two display modes when viewing the catalog. Catalog Product Selection Select the product(s) to be displayed in the catalog. If there are multiple catalog groups defined (see groups), add the items under the required group. Note that a product may be displayed in more than one group within a catalog. Use the +Add button to populate the catalog with items from the defined products Drag the added items into the required display order Note that groups with no products assigned are not displayed to the registrant Using Catalogs in Registration Forms Catalogs are added to forms as pages/steps at any position with the form user journey. In the form page list, select the page before the desired catalog location. It’s therefore not possible to add a catalog with the complete page selected Select the Page Library icon Filter the list of available pages by System, then select Shop to insert the catalog page. Alternatively you may use the Search function to find the page named Shop. System pages are included in Visit Create core functionality and are available to all forms and events. Current page settings With the catalog page selected in the form page list, use the current page settings option to set the parameters of the shop. Select the default catalog to be displayed This is important – without this, no product catalog page will be displayed. The default catalog may be overridden using rules. Set the behaviour of the next button when registering. In this case that the catalog has multiple groups defined, select whether each press of the next button advances through each of the groups/tabs sequentially, or whether it advances to the next form page. Regardless the registrant is free to select between the groups to view their contents. From Require at registration, select the behaviour for the next button to be active, enabling them the registrant to proceed beyond the catalog. By default there are no requirements, however optionally you can set at least one product to be required (this can be from any of the product types available), or at least one access product requires an item added to the basked where the product is of type access Using Rules Optionally you can add one or more rules to dynamically change the displayed catalog (from the default) based on properties of the event, current time and the in progress registration. See the Rules help guide for more information on this powerful function If you have multiple rules defined, drag them into the required processing order. Rules are checked from the top of the list downwards, until the first (if any) valid rule condition is encountered. In this case, the catalog is changed to the one defined in the rule properties Shop Header Text Edit the page title and page introduction directly in the form editor to add custom information above the catalog product list. In the case that the event supports multiple translations, switch between each of the available languages to edit the localised text. When editing content here, you’re seeing the form exactly as the registrant will.
