Release Notes Visit 5.22

Engagement Tools

Starting with Release 5.22, visitors will be able to contact each other through chat and schedule meetings with other attendees. To do this, they must first connect with the other participant. Once the connection request is accepted, they will be able to interact in the same way that they do with exhibitors.

Discover

Chat

Visitors can chat with approved connections. Visitor and exhibitor chats are in the same location.

On desktop, they can also see the details of the other visitor in the chat window:

Meetings

Visitors can plan a meeting with approved connections. They don’t need to set-up availability like partners.

  • Onsite meeting: onsite meetings can be planned within the time-frame of the event (between onsite start and onsite end date)
  • Online meeting: virtual meetings can be planned within the time-frame of the online event (between online start and online end date)

Translations – New Tab – Resources

We have removed the double-click function in Translations which allowed you to edit translation text.

Instead, we’ve added a new Resources tab where you can search and edit text(s) for your translations. Please note that only enabled translations will be visible and editable in this section.

Json V2 API

Partner Orders

We have added order information to the partner end-point in the public Json V2 API and updated API documentation accordingly.

Changes

Check-in Terminal

Starting with Release 5.22 we no longer support Check-in Terminals older than 5.18. Make sure you upgrade to the newest Check-in version before your upcoming event(s).

Spreedly no longer supported

Since we now have a direct Stripe integration and since Spreedly was used only for Stripe, there’s no longer a need to maintain the integration.
You can now choose the direct Stripe integration from the PSP list.

Release Notes Visit 5.21

Engagement Tools

We’ve added the option for visitors using Discover to be able to scan each-other, and thus make visitor-to-visitor connections. This comes with a series of changes in Visit Create and Discover.

Visit Create

Visit Discover settings are now available in Visit Create. This allows you to set up specific options for each registration type.

We have added Registration Type specific settings:

  • Scan Content
  • View Public Visitor Directory
  • Include in Public Visitor Directory – can only be checked if View the Public Visitor directory is checked.
  • Make Connections
  • Maximum pending Connection Requests
  • Unless set up differently by the user, the system will choose the default registration type.

Visit Discover

We have also implemented multiple changes in Visit Discover to support the new feature:

  • We’ve added an Attendees menu. Visible when Public Visitor Directory is enabled.
  • We’ve added suggestions to Public Visitor Directory when no search is done yet.
  • We’ve added the badge scan option.
  • When a connection is made, a request is sent to the other visitor. When approved, connection details are visible to both visitors.
  • Attendees have the option to contact their connections via mobile phone or email (if provided).

Service Centre

Email tracking

We have added email tracking functionalities for bulk emails:

  • This enables you to monitor opened and unsubscribed emails.
  • The Unsubscribed count is based on the one-click-unsubscribe option.
  • The Opened counter is based on a tracking parameter of an image in the email template. This image must be added using the editor, so only works for new and/or modified templates where a new image is added. It will not work for already existing email templates.
  • The Opened counter is dependent of the recipient viewing/opening the images in the email.
  • The Email Overview in the Service Centre now displays the Opened and Unsubscribed counters:
