With the introduction of Release 5.6, we are happy to announce a significant shift in our update strategy for Visit. Moving forward, we’ll be launching new releases more frequently – usually every two weeks. The purpose of this is to ensure that our platform evolves continually to meet the dynamic needs of event organisers.
Our goal is to offer a more responsive and adaptive service, allowing for more dynamic planning and implementation of new functionalities and improvements. This frequent release cycle reflects our dedication to staying ahead of industry trends and delivering the best possible experience to our users.

Visit Create Server
Dubai events – New DTCM setting & Best Practices
The Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) recently implemented changes in the way they provide the necessary information for events happening in Dubai.
Previously, they sent out a file containing instructions on how to map visitors into their system. Now the mapping file is no longer provided, and we are required to retrieve this information from an API endpoint.
A Download performance map button has been added in the DTCM settings tab of Visit Create to facilitate access to the mapping file for support teams. The file can be downloaded either in JSON or Excel format.
We’ve also added a DTCM Best Practices section that you can check out here.
Visit Create

Visit Connect
Adding Team Members
Organisers now have the ability to decide how team members can be added:
- Invite only – Visit Connect admins send invite, and the invited team member must finish their registration.
- Register only – Visit Connect admins must complete registration for their staff.
- Invite or Register – Visit Connect admins can decide on whether they invite their staff, or finish the registration on their behalf.
Depending on the scenario, setting up a registration form, invitation, and/or confirmation emails may be mandatory or optional. You will find further details here.
For existing events, the default setting is Register only, ensuring no changes for current users.
New events will have Invite only as a default option.
Dual licence activation alert
We’ve added a prompt for users trying to activate a second Visit Connect licence on the same device, for the same event. They will be warned that their device already has an active licence for that event, and will be asked to confirm if they want to proceed.
