Connect 5.1

Licence QR codes

Licence QR codes for Web and Native Apps available in the Visit Connect Teams screen. We have made available the licence QR codes for both Web App and Native App within Teams > Action in Visit Connect. Note that for the Web App, the QR code is for Scan only mode.

Disabled adding & editing team through Visit Connect

For organisers who wish to synchronise data via the API, we have added the option to disable the add/edit Staff feature, which will remove the options to add, remove or edit staff for admins. This will also prevent admins from registering themselves as staff.

Simplified Embedded Mode

To better serve its purpose, we have simplified the embedded mode (used when integrating Visit Connect into third party apps) to only show the Leads list and the Scan lead options.

Easier access to Visit Connect from another device

We have added a QR code to the Visit Connect confirmation email that people can scan to access the app from a different device than the one they received the email on.

Improved UI in Setup Mode

Users get a message notifying them that they are in setup mode and thus they cannot scan leads, and we have also added an info icon that opens a pop-up with the message:

Setup Mode

Setup mode lets you configure your team and environment. You must be logged in as a team member to scan leads. If you are <Initially Registered Admin Name>, switch to your login here. Otherwise, go to Team to find your login link.

Improved UI for leads not synced

We have added a prompt to warn users when they are offline and scans won’t be saved.

Disabled Delete Staff feature for partner admins

We have disabled the Delete Staff function in Visit Connect. This is to prevent QR codes changing multiple times and the lack of control over deleted data for organisers.

Scanning leads without a licence

Leads collected without a Visit Connect licence are now synced to the server, but the user can only see part of the leads’ information (first name and first letter of their last name), and they get a warning message that they should add a licence if they wish to see the full details.

Improved behavior when upgrading from limited to unlimited licence

We have improved the UI, so when a partner gets an upgrade from a limited number of licences to unlimited, the change is immediately reflected into Visit Connect and the leads previously scanned by team members without a licence are automatically synced to the account.

Improved UI on capture leads permissions

Admins have a better view of the available lead capture permissions, so they can easily decide on which team members should be able to scan.

License

We still offer the native app as well as the web app – to make this easier to manage, we now offer one license which is valid across both platforms.

Menu

We’ve merged Staff and Users into a single menu called Team. From here Administrators can oversee the app and badges allocation in one place.

Security

All staff will need to enter an authorisation code to access Visit Connect. They will receive this via their email.

Permissions

Each staff member can be assigned different permissions in Visit Connect, including access to scanning leads, colleagues’ leads, exporting leads and administrative functions.

iOS On-boarding

We have simplified the procedure to Add to Home Screen from Safari.

Performance

We’ve improved the performance and stability of the platform when operating in a weak internet environment.

UI

We’ve made a few improvements to the Dashboard and User Interface.

Devices and sessions

Each staff member will have their own login to Visit Connect and any activity they do will be shared across any device or session they will use. You no longer need to manage individual devices.
